Week 5

Rollyo. Well it took me a while to think of a topic that I would want to search for and also knew relevant sites for. In the end I chose events in Auckland as I often don't find out about interesting things happening on the North Shore and Waitakere as I often rely on the city scene to find out what's on. So chose a few sites and made the search engine. What I found though is that the search engine brings up all the results from one site before going to the next site. So I had put in NZ herald as a site and used music as my search term - but ended up getting hundreds of hits relating to music news and cds' not music events. So took out that site. But even with only 5 sites in there 1 from each council and 1 from eventfinder it still lists all the results for one site first before moving onto the next one rather than weighting them for relevance. So overall I didn't find this very useful for this type of search.
