Week 7
I found the oclc newsletter frustrating, as who are they? Nowhere could I see in the newletter a link to who they are or what they stand for. so have done a google search and now found the answer.
I'm feeling a little over the web 2 hype as there is a lot of talk about it but very few libraries seem to be doing anything very innovative on their websites. Went and checked out good reads which Annie had mentioned on her blog. And thought that was an interesting site as they basically have taken the Librarything concept and added in more web 2 interaction features similar to Facebook. I have to admit I really like it. I can't be bothered to transfer all my books from my acl reading history or from libray thing as that would be too much effort, but i like the way that your comments on a book appear below it and that you can distinguish between currently reading and planning to read. i also like the way that you can have your account checked to see if any of you friends currently use the site. So i think good reads and recipezaar are my two favourite sites so far for really using web 2 ologies well. I just wish I could find a good gardening website which did something similar. Also have to sayI'm trying to make time to read other staff blogs and seeing what they have learnt and discovered as people have seen and tried all sorts of things which i wouldn't have thought of especially with the image generator.

Great job! Yeah, it's fun looking through everyone's blogs and seeing what different people find and come up with! Keep up the good work!
